Frequently Asked Questions

  • What kind of programming do you offer?

  • What are the prices for your programming?

We offer several types of programming, and the tuition is different for each one. Additionally, some programs bill monthly while others are session based.

For youth programming prices, check out our Youth Programming Page, and click "Learn More" for the type of programming you're interested in.

For Adult Programming, check out our Adult Programming Page, and click "Learn More" for the type of programming you're interested in.

  • Do you offer a sibling discount?

Yes! We have 10% for the second sibling, and 30% for the third or more as long as they're enrolled in the same program.

For example, siblings can receive the discount if they are both enrolled in Swim Otters Lessons OR they are both enrolled in Group Lessons (Big Pool). The discount does not apply if one sibling is enrolled in Swim Otters Lessons and the other is enrolled in Group Lessons (Big Pool).

We are so pleased to be able to offer significant discounts for our larger families!

  • Do you offer scholarships?

We believe that everyone can swim... and cost shouldn't be a barrier to entry. If your family qualifies for free or reduced lunch at school, please visit our Scholarship page!

  • What is your make-up policy?

For Baby & Me, Swim Otters, and Big Pool Lessons, we allow for make-ups if a swimmer has an illness, injury, family or other extraneous circumstances.

We cannot guarantee that you will have a make-up at the same time as your regularly scheduled lesson time or that you will have a make-up with your regularly scheduled instructor. Make-ups have no cash value (no refunds on make-ups). Make-Ups will only be granted to and may only be utilized by students who are currently enrolled at Swimming Simply.

In order to be granted a make-up, parents must use the Parent Portal or contact the front desk to report the absence. A makeup will not be granted if the parent notifies us after the scheduled lesson has already been missed.

Perpetual lessons at the Swim Otters Pool in Wheat Ridge: One make-up token may be issued per calendar month. Make-up tokens expire after 3 months.

Session-based lessons at our other locations / Baby & Me: One make-up token may be issued per session. Make-up tokens expire after the session ends.

Make-up tokens can only be used if a student is actively enrolled.

We do not offer make-up classes for our Women’s Clinic Classes. If you have extraordinary circumstances, please call us at 303-554-SWIM and we will work it out!

    • To learn how to report a future absence, watch this video
    • To learn how to use a makeup token, watch this video.
  • What is your cancellation policy?

For ongoing lessons at our Wheat Ridge Swim Otter location, we require 30 days' notice to cancel your lessons.

For session-based programming at our other locations, swimmers are not committed past the end of the session. In extenuating or emergency circumstances, please get in contact with us, and we’re happy to discuss options.

  • Do I need to bring any equipment?

Baby and Me: Please bring a reusable swim diaper. If you forget one, we do have some available for purchase. If you purchase one on your own, we recommend selecting one with excellent ratings on Amazon.

Swim Otters private and group lessons:

    • Towel(s)
    • Well-fitting swimsuit (If you have a little swimmer who gets cold easily, we have seen success using thin wetsuits).
    • Goggles are optional!
    • If your child is under 3 years old, please bring a reusable swim diaper. (If you forget one, we do have some available for purchase. If you purchase one on your own, we recommend selecting one with excellent ratings on Amazon.)

Turtles level and up group lessons and private lessons:

    • Well-fitting bathing suit (If you have a little swimmer who gets cold easily, we have seen success using thin wetsuits).
    • Goggles (that do not cover the swimmer’s nose)
    • A water bottle
    • Towel(s)
    • Swim fins for (We have loaner fins if you don't get yours by the time classes start).

If you need to purchase any of these items, you can find our recommendations in our team store on SwimOutlet.

  • What should I expect in my upcoming Baby & Me class?

Adult in the Pool: This class requires an adult in the pool with the baby and we recommend having the same adult for the entire 6 week class. However, we understand if you want to switch it up!

What to expect in the pool: We will be going under the water and we will teach you how to do this with your baby. They may cry and that's okay! We will teach you skills to help them through this. We promise that this class will do a great job for setting them up for swim lessons in the future, as they will be acclimatized to what happens during a swim lesson.

Facilities: There are changing rooms and "rinse-off only" showers available, along with diaper genies. We have a Calm Seating area for parents and/or other family members where they can watch the lessons and there is a snack bar in case your swimmer (or you) need a little something to eat or drink!

  • Adams City High School Directions

Please look at the map that shows where to park and how to locate the pool. Under no circumstances can anyone park or drive into the bus loop. Doing so will remove our ability to use the school's pool so please use the parking lot only. We recommend giving yourself an extra 10-15 minutes on the first day if you haven’t been to the pool before!

Google Maps will lead you to the front of the school, however, the doors to the pool are in the back. Follow directions to these coordinates, which is the parking lot behind the school and by the bleacher stands.  From here, you will see a dangling Swimming Simply sign on the northern corner of the building marking you are in the right spot.  Follow that pathway north of the building, next to a parking circle, until you get to the school doors on the left, one of which will be open.  Once you're in the building, take a right, and the pool door will be at the end of the hall on the right, propped open. If you have trouble finding the pool, please call Deck Manager Lauren Stewart at (408) 396-5499.

  • Aurora Central High School Directions

Please look at the map that show where to find the Aurora Central pool and parking. We recommend giving yourself an extra 10 minutes on the first day if you haven’t been to the pool before!

Use the link above which will guide you to the EAST parking lot, NOT the main entrance.

The pool is located in the building facing the parking lot with three, large, circular windows.

The door is on the south side of the building. Walk around the left side of the building, and there will be an entrance on your right.

DO NOT park in the fire lane, directly along the pool building.

  • Denver West High School Directions

If you follow directions from Google Maps, it will take you to the main school entrance on Elati Street.  Instead, follow the directions to this parking lot around the corner.  This is a faculty parking lot that we’ve been given permission to park in for swim lessons. If this lot is full, street parking is ample in this area.

From here, you’ll see the Athletic Entrance to the school (Door 11), and Door 13 to the left of that which will be propped open. That is the pool, and where Troy Miller will be stationed to welcome you in!

  • Hinkley High School Directions

Parking: Families can park in the west parking lots.

Swimmers should enter the school at the north end of the parking lot.

Locker rooms are located in the pool area.

  • Manual High School Directions

Satellite image of Manual High School Parking Lot and entrance

Please look at the map that shows where to find the Manual High School pool. We recommend giving yourself an extra 10-15 minutes on the first day if you haven’t been to the pool before!

Please park on 28th Street, next to the baseball field.

DO NOT park in the staff parking lot or main parking lot by the football field.

Go to door #5 and the team will be inside to greet you!

  • Moorhead Recreation Center Questions

Do I need to pay to get into Moorhead?

    • You do not have to pay to get into the rec center. Let them know you're with Swimming Simply, and you'll be all set!

Can I stick around Moorhead after my lesson?

    • Currently, Moorhead is only open for lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which means the pools are not open for recreational swimming.
    • The pools are open for recreational swimming on Wednedays, so you may use the pools before or after lessons. You'll have to pay the daily fee to stay.
  • Morey Middle School Directions
